This case study highlights how Agrokomplex improved energy management and reduced costs by implementing DAITAMONITOR, an AI-driven energy management system.
Agrokomplex, the largest exhibition center in Slovakia, located in Nitra, struggled with significant energy management challenges. With 11 pavilions to manage and an annual energy consumption bill of €2.5 million, Agrokomplex faced issues such as poor planning, excessive energy consumption, frequent penalties for exceeding set energy limits, and overall inefficient energy management practices. Agrokomplex recognized the urgent need for better data-driven decision-making and therefore sought an effective solution to optimize energy consumption and reduce costs. This case study shows how adopting DAITAMONITOR, an AI-based energy management system developed by DAITABLE, addresses these challenges and helps overcome them.
Agrokomplex's energy management problems stemmed mainly from a lack of centralized, real-time energy data. The absence of accurate data visualization meant that energy consumption often exceeded planned levels, leading to costly penalties. With such expensive energy bills, Agrokomplex needed a solution capable of consolidating energy data from multiple sources into a single platform, providing real-time monitoring, and offering predictive insights to optimize energy consumption and anticipate potential problems.
After exploring various options, Agrokomplex chose DAITAMONITOR, an AI-powered energy management solution from the Slovak company DAITABLE, which delivers a comprehensive system encompassing components, installation, networking, integration, and software, as well as analytics, predictions, and alerts. All these modules are developed in-house by their developers, giving them flexibility and the ability to adapt to client needs. DAITAMONITOR offered a unified platform to aggregate energy data from all 11 pavilions into a centralized system. The solution provided user-friendly tools for data visualization, enabling Agrokomplex to easily monitor energy consumption patterns. Furthermore, the system’s advanced analytics allowed accurate predictions and timely alerts to avoid problems like exceeding energy consumption limits.
After the implementation, Agrokomplex witnessed substantial improvements:
After implementation, Agrokomplex recorded significant improvements. By consolidating all energy data into one platform, Agrokomplex now has a unified view of energy consumption across all pavilions. This improves energy management by providing real-time insights that enable quick corrective actions when consumption trends deviate from the norm.
The predictive functions of DAITAMONITOR allowed Agrokomplex to predict energy needs more accurately and refine the necessity of purchases on the spot market. It also helped adjust reserved capacity settings, minimizing the risk of penalties for higher energy consumption while also reducing unnecessary reserve purchases, on which the client previously spent a significant amount of money.
The system has been helpful in identifying inefficiencies in existing energy management processes. By highlighting areas of excessive consumption and suggesting optimizations, DAITAMONITOR enables Agrokomplex to implement targeted energy-saving measures.
As a result, the exhibition centre expects a significant reduction in energy costs as well as their annual energy bill.
This case study emphasizes the importance of integrating advanced technological solutions to achieve sustainable energy management practices not only in manufacturing companies but also in commercial buildings. Transitioning to an AI-driven energy management system allows Agrokomplex not only to optimize energy consumption but also to reduce costs and eliminate penalties. As more companies embrace digital transformation, solutions like DAITAMONITOR will become increasingly important in managing operational efficiency and sustainability.
